"Sway Days" (摇摆的日子)

Liu Dao

We have to swing together or none of this works don’t you know, none of it! Look at the way my legs pump. They fully extend forward as I straighten them out and point my tiny toes. While I’m doing that, I lean back and pull the ropes back right along with me. The key isn’t just in this though, right when you’ve gone as far forward as your momentum might take you, it’s then time to do just the opposite. Lean your upper body forward and tuck your feet and lower legs under the seat. If you do this enough you’ll get a great feel for the way the swing works and you’ll come to operate it with the ease that someone might ride a bicycle. With two of us on here though… well we need some coordination. Not only do we need to both do what I just said, but at the same time. If we’re the smallest bit off we may wobble the whole thing out of whack. We can’t have your side going before mine or vice versa, it won’t look good and people will think we don’t have our act together. Just follow my instructions and relax a little bit, we have plenty of time left to figure this out…at least until the 一月风暴 (January Storm) begins.
