Photoville: "The Color Of..."

(Четверг) (Воскресенье)

MPS Digital Photography is participating in Photoville, the annual photography show housed in shipping containers located in DUMBO’s Brooklyn Bridge Park, with a 40-foot container dedicated to the theme of color that the staff has broken down into ten discrete topics for which alumni, faculty and staff were asked to create images or videos."The Color Of…" is an aesthetic, technical and historical exploration of how color capture, enhancement, interpretation and reproduction is influenced by culture, society and technological developments. While the science of color is at the intersection of biology, psychology and sociology, the art of color expands our expression, appreciation and understanding for the human experience. Based upon the popular class and best-selling book Color Management & Quality Output by MPS Digital Photography Associate Chair, Tom Ashe, this exhibit features contemporary photography created by department staff, faculty and alumni with technical yet approachable information to engage and educate the viewers.MPS Digital Photography is participating in Photoville, the annual photography show housed in shipping containers located in DUMBO’s Brooklyn Bridge Park, with a 40-foot container dedicated to the theme of color that the staff has broken down into ten discrete topics for which alumni, faculty and staff were asked to create images or videos."The Color Of…" is an aesthetic, technical and historical exploration of how color capture, enhancement, interpretation and reproduction is influenced by culture, society and technological developments.
