School of Visual Arts presents “SVA Computer Art: Senior Thesis Projects,” an exhibition of work by graduating BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects students. Organized by Matthew McKenna, senior systems director of BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects, the exhibition is on view Friday, April 14, through Saturday, May 6, at the SVA Flatiron Gallery, 133/141 West 21st Street, New York City.School of Visual Arts presents “SVA Computer Art: Senior Thesis Projects,” an exhibition of work by graduating BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects students. Organized by Matthew McKenna, senior systems director of BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects, the exhibition is on view Friday, April 14, through Saturday, May 6, at the SVA Flatiron Gallery, 133/141 West 21st Street, New York City.The films and interactive projects on display in the exhibition “showcase the mastery of state-of-the-art technological tools, which result in stunning visuals and compelling narratives,” says McKenna. “These films are diverse in terms of subject matter, but are all joined by the common thread of the students’ vision and perseverance.”BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects students at SVA are given the technical skills necessary to begin a successful career in film, television, commercial and video-game production. They have access to the most advanced digital applications and are guided to develop both the personal and professional capabilities expected in the top tiers of highly competitive creative industries. Using a production-based curriculum, students create professional-quality portfolios each year.
