Only 1,358 medals have ever been awarded.
This exhibition tells the stories of South Asian soldiers of the British Indian Army who were awarded the Victoria Cross during the First World War.
The stories of Indian soldiers are often unrecorded or unreported, so this exhibition aims to highlight these hidden histories.
'Honouring VC Indians Soldiers' has been researched and written by Believe in Me CIC, and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
