Since 1987 Jörg Maaß Kunsthandel has specialized in Modern Art. Our portfolio ranges from Expressionism and Neue Sachlichkeit to selected works of the post-war period – from German Informel to Gerhard Richter – up to selected photography of the 20th century.
Our basic focus is on works on paper of the German Expressionism, including artists such as Beckmann, Dix, Feininger, Grosz, Heckel, Kirchner, Klee, Nolde, Pechstein, Schmidt-Rottluff e.a. Furthermore, 20th century photography has become increasingly important for us in the last few years. Our interest reaches from European Avantgarde to American contemporary photographers. The gallery’s focus begins with Brassaï, Moholy-Nagy and Wols to Robert Frank, Harry Callahan, William Eggleston and Robert Adams up to Cindy Sherman, Annie Leibovitz and Alec Soth.
