Gabriel SCHMITZ, « Être ému par une image », du 19 mai au 18 juin 2016, dans le cadre d’Art SAINT GERMAIN DES PRES et des 7 jours de l’Art à Paris

(Thursday) (Saturday)

Gabriel SCHMITZ is a European artist. German origin, he studied art at the Fine Arts School of Edinburgh in Scotland and settled in Spain, where he founded his family.
He is keen on cinema, literature, contemporary dance, opera, and has a true knowledge of what is being created in these areas, in Europe, the USA and even Japan.
This process of constant curiosity about these subjects feeds his consciousness and unconsciousness. He creates with intensity an invisible link connecting the real beings that are the artist and the audience, and his human subject to whom he conveys deep emotions. He uses oil on canvas, in a very contemporary way, with a quick and lively touch, which gives life to the flesh of his characters and highlights their presence.
The Arcturus Gallery exhibits his paintings and drawings since its inception in 1999, is pleased to present recent works that will certainly make you “moved by an image”.
We welcome you, with pleasure, by appointment at a time of your choice to provide you any information / additional document you might need.
