By encouraging viewers to “tie in” with the installation and the work in the gallery, the exhibition symbolizes a key aspect of art therapy practice: using art processes to create opportunities for inclusion and recognition within the larger community.SVA’s MPS in Art Therapy program is an immersive two-year, 60-credit program that prepares students to become licensed art therapists. The program is interdisciplinary in approach, integrating the experiential components of art therapy within a comprehensive framework of academic theory, clinical application via internships and art practice.
