Held at the Grand Palais in Paris from 31st March to 3rd April 2016, Art
Paris Art Fair is the leading event for modern and contemporary art in the
Spring in Paris that brings together 145 galleries from some 20 countries an
60,000 visitors.
The fair continues to remain true to its concept of cosmopolitan regionalism
and pursues its exploration of Europe and its unique and individual art
scenes as well as showcasing creative production from further afield.
Following up on Singapore and Southeast Asia last year, and in the context
of the celebration of France-Korea Year, the guest of honour in 2016 is
South Korea.
Art Paris Art Fair is a generalist fair open to all forms of creative
expression including design, from the post-war period to the present day.
The thematic sectors encourage discovery: Solo Show offers personal
exhibitions while Promises is dedicated to emerging artists and young
galleries. Digital art is given pride of place with monumental projections
on the façade of the Grand Palais. Art Books Bookshop is presenting art and
artists?books in cooperation with both the art and coffee table books
section of French National Union of Publishers (SNE).
For its 5th edition, the VIP "Springtime in Paris" programme, designed for
collectors and art professionals, will highlight the dynamism of the art
scene in the French capital - 21st Century Paris redefined by new
architectural projects and spaces for contemporary art.
