The LENTOS is putting on the first retrospective of Linda Bilda (1963 –2019), whose untimely death in the summer of 2019 shocked the art scene. Bilda was well-known for her fearless interventions in public space, founded several art magazines, produced comics and plucky murals and was the holder of international patents for her invention of what she called Light Glass. The struggle that is ongoing in her work is for an “emancipatory pictorial politics”.
