Public involvement is viewed as a key aspect of community-based art therapy practice: offering people opportunities for contribution, recognition and support within the larger society. The therapeutic goals of “lost & found” are to bring diverse people together in ways that acknowledge and respect our differences.MPS Art Therapy at SVA equips students with a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach, integrating the experiential components of art therapy within a framework of academic theory and clinical application via an internship program and art practice. Fundamental to the program is the concept that the art therapist and client work together and thus can affect each other’s growth.
