Love-themed ceramics from the J.W.L. Glaisher collection

The mathematician and astronomer, J.W.L. Glaisher (1848-1928) is best known as a collector of ceramics but he also maintained a number of secondary collections, including a large collection of valentines.

In this display see a small group of love-themed objects from Glaisher's ceramic collection, selected to complement his valentines cards on show in Gallery 14 as part of the exhibition The Object of My Affection: stories of love from the Fitzwilliam collection (30 January-28 May, 2018).
