Otra Mas'

(Wednesday) (Sunday)

Otra Mas’ is a photography exhibition honoring the long legacy of Carnaval San Francisco and its fortieth annual celebration in 2018. Photographs of the parade on February 25, 1979 mark the first occasion of this tradition

in San Francisco. Organized around Precita Park by Adela Chu and many others, Carnaval is inspired by multiple

carnival practices around the world. Influences from Brazil, Panama, Cuba and Trinidad bring together global

traditions of dancing, masquerade, and drumming as the parade continues today.

We welcome everyone to join us for the celebration and Carnaval San Francisco, May 26 & 27, 2018.

Otra Mas’ is generously supported by Carnaval San Francisco and the indelible Roberto Y. Hernandez.
