Through drawings, text-based wallpaper and hand-cut adhesive vinyl, Angel will transform the graduate department's space, enhancing its architectural qualities while paying tribute to its role as a center for learning and intellectual exploration. Jessica Angel is a New York City-based Colombian artist whose recent and upcoming projects aim to foster cross-disciplinary initiatives. Among other honors, she has received a BRIC Media Arts Fellowship, Cooper Union Summer Residency and BOFFO-NY residency. Her work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions in galleries and museums in such cities as Bogotá, La Paz, Mexico City, Miami, New York and Washington, DC.
