Conor Mccreedy, MccreedyBlue

(Thursday) (Wednesday)

Conor Mccreedy is the youngest artist in history to have a solo exhibition at the National Arts Club. In 2012 artsy.net, the biggest global online selling art site named Conor Mccreedy “Popular artist of the week” alongside Jeff Koons and Tracy Emin. The NYC Gallery “Charles Bank Gallery” invited Mccreedy to display and hold a solo exhibition. Time Warner, one of the world’s largest media companies commissioned him in 2011; to capture its logo in his “MCCREEDYBLUE STYLE”.

“The contemporary mercenary armed with an imaginative wandering spirit fueling his army with his own humane weapons of belief. Conor Mccreedy the South African born pioneer is cradling an empire that's always been within his reach. Finding love in an instance of creation. As the blue-eyed magnifier precisely builds his team of creative revolutionaries and fans, the color blue may never mean the same again. The evocative glint in his eyes all submit to the allure and immensity.” -Daniel Sheffler: writer New York times, Tatler, Elle,Interview Mail & Guardian Wall street Journal

ARTIST STATEMENT:

We live in a volatile world where race, gender, reputation
and time distract us from the real. My experiences of the
human dilemma are archived in my mind; they emerge in
moments of unabashed and unbounded creativity. I lose
myself in a divine intervention, where judgment is laid aside
and my spirit is left to breath in this world without the
constraint of self-awareness or convention. The raw power
and mysterious void of the ocean is my inspiration, the
equalizer of mankind. Tides of creation are painted and put
into motion by pure adrenaline.
This creative combustion has driven me to go beyond
portraiture and to explore new worlds of neo-expressionism
and abstraction where volatile uncertainties are demolished.
The MccreedyBlue pigment that I created conveys a sense
of enchantment. I associate blue with power, stability and
intelligence. It is endless and finite, sensual and enchanting.
The unfinished lines that it yields betray linear movement,
interrupted, but never ceasing, as waves breaking on the
shore. As I lie in the wake of my vital act and return to what
is common; to come to terms with the completion of the
work, I am left with a longing for my journey to begin again:
back into the ocean.
