From Mantes to the Musée d'Orsay, let the image take you

Hesna SouanefWe are all the same family © Hesna SouanefAs part of the twinning project between major public cultural establishments and Priority Security Zones, the Musée d'Orsay is leading a project in Mantes-la-Jolie and Mantes-la-Ville that runs from 2016 to 2018.The Musée d'Orsay is offering these communities an introduction to the history and practice of photography through the Musée d'Orsay collections. Several themes are explored: countryside/town and the landscapes along the banks of the Seine, work and the family.115 people took part in the project during the first year (September 2016 – June 2017) and in total, 60 photography workshops were held in Mantes and in Paris.The results of these workshops were exhibited throughout the summer in the two towns, and will be presented at the Musée d'Orsay this autumn.
