The Collections of the Princes of Liechtenstein

(Friday) (Sunday)

The exhibition affords a representative cross-section of the great treasures from the collections

of the princes of Liechtenstein. Among the works on show are absolute masterpieces

by Raphael, Peter Paul Rubens, Frans Hals, Jacques Jordaens, and Anthony van Dyck—as well

as sculptures, drawings, and artisanal objects of the highest quality from the 14th to 19th

centuries. The show examines the focal points of the collections, such as the dynastic history

of the collectors, Christian and mythological subject matter, portraits and landscape

painting, still-lifes, as well as cabinents of curiosities and hunting.
