Transparent showcases more than 50 exquisite watercolours by some of Queensland's most renowned watercolour artists, including Conrad Martens, J.J. Hilder, Vida Lahey, Kenneth Macqueen, Joe Rootsey, Margaret Cliento and Joy Roggenkamp. The exhibition traces the important role of watercolour in Queensland's visual arts history, from its earliest colonial beginnings through to modern watercolour developments in the early twentieth century and the more recent and exuberant watercolours of the 1980s.
