Jahresausstellung Zentralschweizer Kunstschaffen

(Saturday) (Sunday)

Places matter. Even in a globalized world it is important where we come from, where we go to, where we live and work. Therefore Kunstmuseum Luzern presents every year an exhibition with artists who share a close connection to the region. The annual exhibition of Central Swiss artists offers insights into the diversity of artistic production in the regions surroundings, and gives artists the opportunity to present their work prominently to a wide audience. Regardless of its conceptual local rootage, the annual exhibition mobilises a public beyond regional boundaries.

Every year an artist from the region is given the chance to present  a rather bigger glimpse of his or her own work to the public in a dedicated cabinet exhibition. This usually states the first solo exhibition of an emerging artist, or it offers the chance to discover an assumingly familiar work by a well known artist from a new perspective.
