The visual artist, blues musician and researcher, George Steinmann has been working for more than 30 years with the interaction between ecology and aesthetics and to a particular extent with the aspects of cultural sustainability. The exhibition of George Steinmann defines art as a socially related practice. Important in his work is the approach that art does not exist in hermetic or territorially confined spaces, but manifests itself rather as the driving force of a sustainable world. The focus of the exhibition is thus on transcultural communication and integrated by guests from the arts and humanities as well as the natural sciences invited by the artists. The individual installations are determined by context awareness, exchange processes and the culture of responsibility. The interdependence of ecology and aesthetics is of special im portance in the exhibition.
