(Mittwoch) (Sonntag)

Exhibition. November 1, 2017–January 28, 2018. Organized in conjunction with the exhibition Items: Is Fashion Modern? (https://www.moma.org/calendar/exhibitions/1638?locale=en), the People’s Studio is a space to reflect on the intersections of design and daily life. Visitors can deconstruct how garments are made, reimagine their function and style, and share observations on how clothing and accessories express who we are. Scheduled workshops and conversations, led by designers and experts in the field, explore fashion through themes of sustainability, identity, and culture. As part of a collaboration with MoMA's Department of Education through Artists Experiment, artist Emily Spivack presents An archive of everything worn to MoMA from November 1, 2017 to January 28, 2018 in the People’s Studio. Visitors are invited to contribute to the project by sending a text message listing the clothing they or their companions are wearing during their visit. Open during regular Museum hours. Free with Museum admission and open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. HEARING LOOPS: In order to serve visitors with hearing loss, The People’s Studio includes induction hearing loops for sound amplification. Visitors to the installation can turn their hearing aid or cochlear implant to T-Coil mode to hear enhanced sound effortlessly. Follow us on Twitter @MoMALearning #MoMAMakers
