Astral America

(Giovedì) (Lunedì)

Borrowed from Jean Baudrillard's essay of the same name, "Astral America" is an exhibition that addresses how the concepts of hyperreality and ethereality manifest in the contemporary notion of "America" as both location and ethos. The exhibition will interrogate the tension between phenomena of displacement and the lived experiences of citizens of a globalized world. Presented by SVA Summer Residency Programs and SVA Continuing Education.Borrowed from Jean Baudrillard's essay of the same name, "Astral America" is an exhibition that addresses how the concepts of hyperreality and ethereality manifest in the contemporary notion of "America" as both location and ethos.
