The Tradition: A new history of Welsh Art 1400-1990 - book launch and lecture
(Wednesday) — (Wednesday)
Join us on Wednesday 9 March at 5-7pm in the Oriel Suite at National Museum Cardiff for the launch of Peter Lord’s new book, The Tradition: A new history of Welsh Art 1400-1990. Peter will give an illustrated lecture and sign books.
This landmark publication is the first account of the subject to be published in a single volume for over half a century, and expresses a generational change in the way we understand and value the visual culture of Wales. Many of the illustrations feature works from our collections, and the book is published with the support of Amgueddfa Cymru, The Paul Mellon Foundation, the National Library of Wales, the Marc Fitch Fund, Swansea University and the Welsh Books Council.
Selection of further exhibitions in: United kingdom
