The Great British Beach Clean - Ogmore Beach



Free Science and Art Beach Activities for Families: 11.30am to 1pm



We will be joined by Biologists & Geologists from Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales who will be helping us to explore rockpools, find fossils and discover what lives at the beach. We will also have a fun Art activity… come along to find out more!



Booking is essential for the morning activities - eventscardiff@museumwales.ac.uk . Please provide a contact telephone number when booking in case we need to cancel due to bad weather. 



Beach clean & survey: 2pm to 3.30pm



EQUIPMENT – We will provide all equipment needed but sensible footwear and clothing are highly recommended in case the weather isn't great, and sun-cream in case it is!



MEET - On the beach in front of the Lifeguard Station (to the left of the slipway down to the beach). We will be wearing a bright orange tabards.



LUNCH - If you are coming for the morning activities and the beach clean in the afternoon you may want to bring a packed lunch.



CAR PARKING - The pay and display parking cost is approx £5 for the day so please bring change.



Anyone can come along to the afternoon’s beach clean without booking.
