Made in Britain

(Saturday) (Monday)

Rostra Gallery celebrates all that is British in the new exhibition Made in Britain. As the title suggests the gallery will be showcasing new work from a selection of local and UK based artists.  Highlighting the importance of supporting our local artists and encouraging us all to embrace original handmade artwork.

Highlights include Richard Burel’s original paintings that capture the colour and life of Bath’s beautiful buildings and gardens. Stunning bronze sculptures by Bristol based artist Helen Gordon, her work captures the movement and character of some of the world’s most majestic animals. Hand finished ceramics by Julia Davey will be on display showing off the local artist’s creative flair for butter dishes, toast racks, mugs and more! Introducing new artists Sally Gardiner with her raku fired ceramic hares and Alison Holdoway with her bold abstracted screen prints, Alison joins the gallery after winning the Rostra Prize at the recent Bath Artists Society Exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery.

From papercuts to paintings join Rostra Gallery as they celebrate the best of British with Made in Britain, on display until 7th September.
