Contemporary Craft

(Saturday) (Monday)

Indulge in something original as Rostra Gallery takes a closer look at the imaginative and intricate world of Contemporary Craft. The exhibition will showcase handmade work from a selection of new and established artists with work including sculpture, ceramics, papercuts, jewellery and original paintings.

Highlights include Rebecca Coles who is a highly sought after artist known for her delicate and awe inspiring butterfly papercuts. Bev Milward showcases her new sculptural landscapes that draw you in to a magical world of porcelain trees, birds and hidden treasures. Eleanor Bartleman is back with more sumptuous ceramics that are inspired by myths and stories and Natalie Rymer will wow you with her colourful interlocking paintings inspired by the British countryside. Introducing new artists Caroline Rees and Saya McNairn-Yanagi, Caroline creates striking papercut landscapes and street scenes that show her passion for drawing and design and Saya will show her sculptures inspired by folktales and stories from her Japanese residency.
